Newyorský architekt Mitchell Joachim (1972) se tématu ekologie věnuje více jak deset let, studium ukončil v roce 2006 obhájením disertační práce na téma Ecotransology (integrovaný design urbanistické proměnlivosti) na Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Je partnerem organizace Terreform 1 a vede studio Archinode. Jako architekt má za sebou praxe v kancelářích Gehry Partners, Michael Sorkin Studio nebo Pei Cobb Freed & Partners. Z akademického prostředí neodešel, v současné době působí jako asistent na Kolumbijské univerzitě. Za své projekty v oblasti architektury a ekologie získal několik ocenění.

Stefan Behnisch – Tendence a nové koncepce

Stefan Behnisch (1957) je slavný syn slavného otce, architekta Günthera Behnische (1922), autora např. olympijského areálu v Mnichově (1968-72). Stefan Behnisch studoval kromě architektury také filozofii a ekonomii. V roce 1989 se osamostatnil a dodnes vede mezinárodní ateliér Behnisch Architekten. Mezi jeho nedávné „zelené“ realizace patří Institut For Forestry and Nature Research (1998, Nizozemí), Muzeum fantasie (2001, Německo), Norddeutsche Landesbank am Friedrichswall (2002, Německo), Genzyme Center (2004, USA) nebo Oceaneum (2008, Německo). Jeho stavby jsou vždy navrženy opravdu velkoryse a jsou velmi působivé, plné zajímavých detailů, nikoliv však v neprospěch celku. Stefan Behnisch se dlouhodobě věnuje propagaci navrhování staveb v souladu s udržitelným rozvojem a jeho tvorba dokazuje, že nejde o ústupky, ale o skvěle řešenou architekturu skýtající příjemné prostředí. S. Behnisch je celosvětově uznávaným odborníkem na toto téma. Je rovněž členem prestižního Royal Institute of British Architects.

Profesor Martin Treberspurg (1953) vystudoval architekturu a stavební inženýrství TU Wien, od roku 1982 tam působil jako asistent, roku 2001 se habilitoval. Vyučoval obor Solární stavitelství, přednáší na Univerzitě pro zemědělství ve Vídni (BOKU) na Institutu pro výstavbu orientovanou na využití zdrojů. Od roku 1985 působí jako samostatný architekt, v současnosti vede ateliér Treberspurg & Partner Architekten Ziviltechniker Ges.m.b.H. Zaměřuje se na plánování a provedení staveb, které jsou svými vysokými požadavky na nízkou spotřebu a pasivním využitím sluneční energie přínosem k ochraně životního prostředí. Získal mnohá ocenění, mezi nimi cenu Sira Roberta Matthewsw světové architektury UIA za dosavadní architektonickou tvorbu.

The New York architect Mitchell Joachim (1972) has been involved with the theme of ecology for more than 10 years; he completed his studies in 2006 by advocating his dissertation on the topic of Ecotransology (integrated design of urban variability) at Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He is a partner in the organisation Terreform 1 and runs the Archinode studio. As an architect he has worked for the offices of Gehry Partners, Michael Sorkin Studio, or Pei Cobb Freed & Partners. He has never left academia, and currently works as an assistant at Columbia University. He has won several awards for his architectural and ecological projects.

Stefan Behnisch (1957) is the celebrated son of his famous father, the architect Günther Behnisch (1922), designer of the Olympic site in Munich (1968-72), amongst others. In addition to architecture, Stefan Behnisch also studied philosophy and economy. In 1989 he became independent and runs the international studio Behnisch Architekten. His recent, “green” projects include the Institute For Forestry and Nature Research (1998, The Netherlands), the Museum of Fantasy (2001, Germany), the Norddeutsche Landesbank am Friedrichswall (2002, Germany), the Genzyme Center (2004, USA), and the Ozeaneum (2008, Germany). His buildings are always conceived in truly grand style and are very impressive, full of interesting details which do not, however, detract from the whole. Stefan Behnisch has long been involved in promoting building design in line with sustainable development and his work proves that this is not a compromise, but wonderful architectural design that provides an attractive environment. S. Behnisch is globally recognised as an expert on this topic. He is also a member of the prestigious Royal Institute of British Architects.

Martin Treberspurg – Sustainable Buildings
with Solar Architecture and Passive-house Technology

Professor Martin Treberspurg (1953) studied architecture and structural engineering at the Technical University of Vienna; he worked there from 1982 as an assistant, and habilitated in 2001. He taught Solar Construction Engineering, and lectures at the University for Agriculture in Vienna (BOKU) at the Institute for Construction Focusing on the Usage of Resources. Since 1985 he has worked as an independent architect, and currently heads the Treberspurg & Partner Architekten Ziviltechniker Ges.m.b.H. studio. He focuses on the planning and execution of buildings that place stringent demands on low energy consumption and the passive use of solar power in order to protect the environment. He has won many awards, including the Sir Robert Matthews Prize for World Architecture, awarded by UIA for his architectural work.
